What will I learn from this online course?

Sri Swami Purohit will explore the science of pranayama, along with practical exercises that will help you to:

  • Develop your lung capacity and oxygenate your nervous system. The greater your lung capacity, the greater your stamina.

  • Learn to breathe rhythmically. By changing the way in which you breathe and activating both nostrils (lunar and solar), you can change the activity in your brain.

  • Learn how changing your breathing can change your mood. This can be very useful in certain situations.

  • Activate paused diaphragmatic breathing, allowing you to increase your lung capacity. This type of breathing will connect you to a state of deep relaxation. This is a place of emotional healing, where the ego disappears and there is no desire for conflict.

  • Practice an exercise that will develop your navel centre, located 2 inches below, and slightly to the right of your belly button, known as the ‘seat of the mind’. This yoga exercise creates a deep state of relaxation, calm and wellbeing. When your breathing reaches this point, you will feel more creative and accepting.
